Cyberconference 2024 took place at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal. During this event, Cybereco deployed innovative solutions such as digital signage and an enhanced badge management system.
As in previous years, Cybereco partnered with EPEAK Studio to deliver a top-tier hybrid event. In other words, EPEAK Studio’s mission was to craft an unforgettable experience for both in-person attendees and virtual participants tuning in via livestream.
For Cyberconference 2024, EPEAK Studio met this goal through automated tools, an in-house creative team, efficient management practices, and the latest event technologies—BadgeIt! and EventSign.
The scope of Cyberconference 2024 was more extensive than in previous years. In fact, the primary objective was to build on past successes and deliver even greater value for attendees.
With increased on-site attendance, more sessions, and additional room setups, scaling operations was essential. The integration of new services, such as BadgeIt! and EventSign, required EPEAK Studio to refine strategies and expand the team to meet these growing demands.
EPEAK Studio managed a comprehensive range of services to ensure a seamless and high-impact event.
EPEAK Studio used ProjectSheet, a proprietary project management platform that centralizes all event-related data. Real-time updates were accessible to all stakeholders, while integration with the event platform Swapcard ensured that information remained current at all times. By automating communication and eliminating paper-based updates, this platform minimized environmental impact and reduced the risk of human error.
For Cyberconference 2024, each conference room featured a livestreaming setup supported by an expert producer, camera operator, and—new this year—a dedicated sound engineer. EPEAK Studio’s compact, innovative sound system, which fit within the area of a letter-sized sheet of paper, was used in each room, reducing space, power, and cost requirements compared to traditional setups. Each session was recorded, edited, and shared online the next day. EPEAK Studio also assigned an experienced stage manager to coordinate speakers on the main stage, ensuring sessions ran smoothly and on time.
A standout feature this year was the introduction of BadgeIt!, EPEAK Studio’s on-demand badge printing solution, which greatly enhanced the check-in process. In previous years, consumer-grade printers limited capacity and caused congestion. With BadgeIt!, improved processes and high-quality printers enabled instant badge printing with real-time information validation, reducing check-in time by 50%. EPEAK Studio’s trained staff ensured seamless operation, assisting attendees and managing the system effectively.
EPEAK Studio introduced EventSign, a digital signage solution displayed outside each conference room, showing the day’s schedule, activities, and sponsor information. Synced with the Swapcard platform, these screens provided real-time updates to room agendas without manual input. This digital approach saved time and resources, eliminated discrepancies, and offered an eco-friendly alternative to printed materials.
As a bilingual conference, Cyberconference 2024 required multilingual support for French and English speakers. EPEAK Studio implemented PolyPlay, a proprietary interpretation solution, to ensure accessibility for all attendees. On-site attendees could scan QR codes on screens to access live interpretation through their devices and headphones. For virtual participants, the PolyPlay player was integrated into the event platform, allowing seamless language switching during live sessions.
EPEAK Studio managed the design and setup of the main stage and breakout rooms, incorporating branded visual elements such as banners and foam core prints. This ensured a professional and cohesive look throughout the venue, with Cybereco’s visual identity clearly recognizable, reinforcing brand cohesion and recognition.
Over 1,500 attendees joined Cyberconference 2024, with hundreds more participating online to explore the latest in security innovations and share insights with industry experts.
