Project brief
The challenge
ENGIE, a French multinational electric utility company, hosts its annual Innovation Festival in France, featuring speakers from all of its other companies from around the world.
In 2020, the Innovation Festival was run as a hybrid event with an onsite component, including an award ceremony with remote winners displayed on a video wall, held onstage in Paris. The rest of the Innovation Festival was held online.
What we did
EPEAK Studio managed speaker onboarding, video production, and coordination with the local video production team, including one day of onsite setup in Paris. This allowed for seamless integration of both onsite and remote video feeds, culminating in a unified experience for Innovation Festival viewers.
EPEAK Studio coordinated activities between the French and English dubbing crews, providing live audio translation for the festival’s video feeds. EPEAK Studio also distributed the streams on social media (Twitter and Facebook Live) and on La Tribune, an online French news site. Finally, EPEAK Studio produced a post-event VOD, with all video streams available on the same day as the original broadcast.
Results
ENGIE’s Innovation Festival was a success, with a total of 70 speakers, 35 sessions, and 16 hours of video content spread across 4 days.
EPEAK Studio’s ability to coordinate remote and onsite video production crews, in French and in English, was a key factor for the festival’s success.
