ESCAIDE is the leading European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology.
The Challenge
The annual ESCAIDE symposium, hosted by the European Centre for Disease Control (ECDC) was designed as a hybrid event for 2022.
ESCAIDE featured remote speakers from all over the world, as well as speakers presenting directly from the Münchenbryggeriet venue in Stockholm, Sweden.
Attendees were able to join onsite or online, and could choose between 3 different hybrid tracks.
What We Did
EPEAK Studio managed and produced the 3-day ESCAIDE 2022 conference, combining pre-recorded medical conference material, live discussion panels with researchers from all over the world, and live speeches from industry leaders.
To achieve success, EPEAK Studio deployed staff remotely and on-site, directing and supervising the execution by both EPEAK staff and local A/V crew and service providers.
We provided a seamless, two-way integration between on-site and remote speakers.
This approach allowed us to display remote speakers on-screen for the on-site audience, and to create a unified viewing experience for remote attendees, through video streaming straight from the venue.
To oversee the project as a whole, EPEAK Studio worked with Gopacom, the event planning agency appointed by ECDC.
With a distributed workforce in the EU and in North America, EPEAK Studio successfully onboarded every speaker and prepped them to be ready on time, while also efficiently coordinating the delivery of ESCAIDE 2022 before and during the event.
Results
The 3-day ESCAIDE 2022 hybrid conference was a success, with full client and attendee satisfaction.
EPEAK Studio’s lean and efficient project management processes, as well as innovative tools, made all the difference in the quality of the conference delivery.
