# Support Management World Digital 2020

Informa Tech turns their flagship event SMW into an online conference, here comes SMW Digital 2020!

Informa Tech innovates and takes the Support Management World 2020 conference fully virtual with multiple concurrent livestreams produced by EPEAK Studio.

## The challenge

Due to the COVID-19 cancellations of all three of its scheduled 2020 in-person physical events, Informa Tech made the strategic choice to partner with EPEAK Studio in order to come up with a comprehensive replacement plan featuring virtual online conferences. Quick turnaround for successful online conferences In order to succeed, Informa Tech needed a production company, like EPEAK Studio, able to produce and manage the three online conferences. Additionally, the preparation needed to be completed in under four months, with each event being a blend of live and simu-live content. By taking these events online, Informa Tech managed to retain its event schedule without sacrificing content quantity and quality.

## What we did

Efficient processes to enable swift delivery EPEAK Studio efficiently prepared and successfully delivered each of Informa Tech’s three events (ICMI, SMW, SWL). What's more, this was all completed within the expected four to eight week timeframe. This was made possible thanks to EPEAK Studio's well-tested online conference production process. Our expert online conference management team delivered on : Making preparation calls with live keynote speakers, including checking in with each individual speaker. This includes fine tuning their technical setup, and briefing each participant on speaker etiquette. Producing pre-recorded simulive session content with our expert technicians assisting each speaker during the process. Providing real-time production support for the live keynotes and pre-recorded content on the day of the event. Full-featured online conference management system EPEAK Studio also offered a comprehensive speaker data management system. In fact, this allowed Informa Tech to monitor and review (in almost real-time) the progress made by EPEAK Studio’s team on content creation and speaker onboardings. Our extensive technical expertise allowed EPEAK Studio to manage a total of five simultaneous tracks (virtual equivalent of five conference rooms), seamlessly mixing pre-recorded sessions with live presentations.

## Results

EPEAK Studio successfully produced and managed all three events based on Informa Tech’s vision. Overall, EPEAK Studio assisted with the onboarding and recording of 200 speakers across 190 sessions. In total, our editing team delivered over 100 hours of conference video content.
